NEW Call for nominations for the 2010 NARF Symposium
The 2010 NARF Symposium which highlights the achievements of members will be held during the Australian Health and Medical Research Congress on Friday, 17th November 2010 from 3.15pm-5.15pm at the Melbourne Convention Centre, Melbourne, Victoria. All NARF members are invited to nominate to speak at this event, please see details on how to apply here. The NARF AGM will directly follow the Symposium from 5.15pm to 6.45pm, followed by the annual NARF dinner at a local restaurant at member’s cost.
For quorum purposes and booking the dinner, please let the NARF Secretary Kay Double know if you will be attending the Symposium/AGM and/or the dinner. If you wish to be an official apology for the AGM please also let Kay know. A flyer for the Symposium can be downloaded here.
NEW Call for applicants for the 2010 NARF Postdoctoral Award
NARF also announce the opening of the 2010 NARF Postdoctoral Award which recognizes outstanding research achievements by an Australian postdoctoral researcher at an early career stage. Details of how to apply can be downloaded here, applications close on Friday, September 10th 2010. The winner of the 2010 NARF Postdoctoral Investigator Award will be announced at the NARF Symposium in November and will be invited to present their work at this event.
NEW NARF-organised workshop report on RGMS
Workshops organised by NARF were held around Australia in April 2010 to discuss the new RGMS platform. A national paper on the outcomes of these workshops was submitted to the NHMRC in July 2010 and is available for download here.
